Google Maps has more features than most web maps, they provide biking directions, transit, walking, and driving directions, and they also allow you to check traffic, avoid tolls, and stuff like that.
There are other very good online mapping softwares that you could use if you want to try them all out to see which one is the best, if you want to decide which software or service is really the best then you should give Bing maps a try, install the plugin to enable 3D maps they are very cool, you can also try Yahoo maps which is very similar to mapquest and bing, the three of them are rendered and licensed by Navteq. Deciding which is the best one is not easy, depending on your needs and the things you like you will find one more fulfilling than the other, you should try them all, then you can decide which one is the best for you, don’t forget Rand McNally it is also a good source of directions and maps!
